Mayor Williams' Home Again Initiative Gets Underway

(Washington, DC) Mayor Anthony A. Williams today announced the first six development companies that will renovate 45 homes as part of the Home Again Initiative. The Mayor's Home Again Initiative, launched in January 2002, is designed to promote the development of approximately 4,000 blighted properties throughout the District.

The six development companies* and the location of the properties* they will renovate are:

  • CIH/VMS Restorations, LLC
          Ten properties in Petworth, Randall Heights,
          Congress Heights and Anacostia
  • Harrison Malone Development, LLC
          Six properties in Shaw and Petworth.
  • Marshall Heights Community Development Organization
          Ten properties in Petworth, Deanwood, Fort Dupont Park,
          Randall Heights and Woodridge.
  • Mission First
          Five properties in Petworth, Lincoln Park and Kingman Park.
  • Motir/Stellar Home Builders
          Five properties in Trinidad and Petworth.
  • Non Profit CDC
          Five properties in Petworth, Chillum and Trinidad.
