About Home Again

Home Again is designed to stabilize neighborhoods by removing blight and creating more affordable housing opportunities. Through Home Again, the District gains site control of vacant and abandoned properties to sell them to developers who renovate them into quality, affordable homes. At least 30 percent of the units that developers renovate through Home Again, must be sold to low- and moderate-income families. Developers must also provide access to pre- and post- home purchase counseling.

Firms interested in becoming prequalified should contact Home Again at (202) 727-3774 or visit www.dcbiz.dc.gov.

As outlined in his 2003 Inaugural Address, Home Again is part of Mayor Williams' ongoing commitment to create "opportunity for all" by spreading economic development to every corner of the District-and to create the housing options necessary to attract 100,000 new residents to the city.
